ePayment PSP API

Coming soon

The ePayment API for PSPs is in development and targeted for Q2 2026.

The ePayment API will soon support card passthrough functionality, and will be open to PSPs as well as direct partners. PSPs using the API will have access to all its features, and will be able to do card acquiring themselves after receiving card details in a callback.

Cross-border support

Card passthrough supports multiple currencies — PSPs can process payments in any currency supported by the ePayment API, enabling cross-border commerce for your merchants. To take advantage of this, your commercial agreement with Vipps MobilePay must cover the currencies you want to use; new agreements for ePayment card passthrough include all currencies by default.

Getting access

To get access to card passthrough for PSPs, contact your PSP Partner Manager. They will guide you through the commercial and technical onboarding process and provide your PSP ID.

API guide

What happens to the existing PSP APIs?

The Vipps PSP API and MobilePay Online API have no announced end-of-life date, but the long-term goal is for all integrators to migrate to the new APIs. Migration paths will vary by integrator based on existing pricing agreements and API connections. Existing PSP agreements will be honored.
