Partner portal
Welcome to the new partner portal!
The partner portal address is portal.vippsmobilepay.com, the same address as the business portal. When acting as a partner, the menus and functionality are different from when acting as a merchant.
Users that have access to both merchant(s) and partner(s) are presented with all of them after logging in, so they can choose who to act as. It's also possible to switch from one partner/merchant to another.
This section describes the partner portal. For general, merchant-focused information about how to use the portal, see Knowledge base: Business portal.
Status
The partner portal status is: MVP (Minimum Viable Product). We are very interested in feedback, feature requests and other input. As it says on the main page:
Welcome to the partner portal! We hope you will help us by letting us know what functionality you need. Please send us your requests and feedback on Slack or to your partner manager.
How to request access
Both partners and large merchants (that operate similar to partners, with several sales units) can get access to the partner portal.
To request access: We need your email address and your user ID from the business portal, portal.vippsmobilepay.com.
Follow these steps to find your user ID:
- Log in with eID on portal.vippsmobilepay.com/register. There is no need for any preparation before this step, but eID is a requirement for logging in on portal.vippsmobilepay.com for all types of users.
- If it's the first time you log in, you have to verify your email address.
- Do not go through the other steps on the main page ("Select business [...]", etc.). Instead:
- Navigate to your user profile page, in the upper right-hand corner.
- Find the "user ID" at the bottom of your user profile page. It looks similar to this:
12745d37-ce52-55a3-bb28-0479c9d32d7d
. - Send the user ID and your email address to your partner manager, or post it in your Slack channel (if you have one). If you do not have a partner manager or a Slack channel, you can send a request by email. See contact us. The user ID is not secret.
- You will be contacted by your partner manager or on Slack when your user ID has been connected to the partner ID. When you log in again on portal.vippsmobilepay.com/register, you will see the partner name. Click that.
Functionality on the partner portal
The partner portal contains functionality similar to that available in the Management API.
Logging in
Your partner manager will inform you when your user ID has been connected to the partner ID. When that is done you can log in again, and act as the partner.
When you get access to the partner portal, you will see the following screen after you log in on portal.vippsmobilepay.com.
Select Partner Portal and you will see the landing page.
View all product orders where you are specified as partner.
This includes product orders made with the Management API, product order templates and manual product orders.
Please note: There are limitations to how much information we can show for product orders. See the details in the Management API: Get information about a product order.
View your product order templates
You can see all your product order templates. See: Signing up with product order templates.
View all the sales units that have you as partner
You can view all the active sales units that have you as a partner.
To find a sales unit, click the Sales Units button. You can filter the list by entering the sales unit name, MSN, merchant name, or business identifier.
If a merchant deactivates a sales unit on portal.vippsmobilepay.com you will not see the sales unit.
View the details of a sales unit (where you are the partner)
The sales unit details are presented like this:
It's not yet possible to change parameters.
(This is the same screenshot as shown at the top of this page)
View your price packages
You can view all your price packages:
View your webhooks
Under the Developers option, you can view the webhooks you've registered for all your sales units. Enter the URL or ID to filter the list.
See the Webhooks API for more details about the API itself.
Changing between portals
If you want to switch to the Business portal where you can act on behalf of the merchant, click the company name at the top of the side bar, and then select See all businesses.
To get to the Partner portal from the Business portal, click the company name and select See more businesses.
Limitations and known issues
- The onboarding process for the partner portal is manual, and there is no self-service user management.
- It is only possible to view information, not make any changes.
- It is not possible to see the price package for a sales unit (MSN). We are aware of the need, and this is high on our list of improvements. It would already be available if it was trivial to implement.
- Functionality is limited to what is available in the Management API.
- There is no partner functionality, and no partner portal, in the test environment.
Planned improvements
We will add new functionality to the partner portal based on partners' needs and requirements. High on our list:
- View the price package for a sales unit (MSN)
- View commission details
- Updates sales unit details, such as name and logo
- Configure the Login API
We will keep the functionality in the Management API and the partner portal as similar as possible, but there might be some slight differences.

To suggest improvements: Use your Slack channel (if you have one), or contact your partner manager.
FAQ: Frequently asked questions
Do I need eID to log in?
Yes. See: Logging in.
I can't see the product order submitted by merchant X. What's wrong?
Partners can only see product orders where the partner is selected as partner. If the merchant has not selected the partner as partner in the product order, the partner will not see the product order.
See: How to sign up merchants and View all product orders where you are specified as partner.
I can't see merchant X. What's wrong?
Partners can not see merchants, only sales units. Partners can only see the sales units that are connected to them, so if a merchant has deactivated a sales unit, or the merchant itself has been deactivated, the partner will not be able to see the merchant's sales unit(s).
