ePayment API: Vipps MobilePay Express is launched

Express is now available in the ePayment API. With Express, merchants can offer users a faster and more convenient checkout experience directly within the Vipps or MobilePay app.

Users can choose from multiple shipping options during payment, with their selected shipping cost automatically included in the final amount. The flow allows customers to seamlessly consent to share their contact and delivery details, select their preferred shipping method, and complete the payment — all without leaving the app.

Partner portal: Deactivated sales units now visible

The partner portal now shows both active and inactive sales units, and the date for when the sales unit was last changed. This makes it easier to confirm when a sales unit is no longer active.

Partner portal: Self-service product order templates

Product order templates are custom URLs to the product order form with certain fields pre‑filled. They simplify signup, reduce errors, and speed up onboarding — perfect for partners managing all their merchants, or large merchants managing multiple stores or franchises.

Brand guidelines: New and improved payment texts

We've updated our brand guidelines with the recommended checkout text for Vipps MobilePay. Use it in your checkout to make it easier for customers to choose — and complete — their payment.

Report API: Improvements

  • The current ledger dates now return a real-time feed for both funds and fees.
  • The average response time has been significantly reduced.
  • New response headers for developers to integrate against (improves future proofing).
  • tryLater and hasMore are now better aligned with documented behavior.
  • Fix: no longer return null values for string types.

Report API: One ledger per sales units

We've simplified things by removing unused functionality where multiple sales units could share the same ledger. Now, every sales unit has its own unique ledger — making it easier to track and report with the Report API.

Downloadable settlement reports: New and improved

Settlement reports downloaded from portal.vippsmobilepay.com have been updated to match the Report API. This means simpler, more consistent data — whether you download settlement reports or use the API.

Recurring API: Smoother sign‑up, better user experience

We've refreshed the payment agreement sign‑up flow on Android (v8.23.0+) and iOS (v8.25.0+).
